Protocol Actors

Pool Creator & Pool Managers

A user who creates a lending pool. During the pool creation phrase, a Pool Creator can delegate Pool Manager capabilities to specific individuals who they wish to have participate in the pool management process. During this process, Pool Managers are tasked with updating the risk parameters for different markets in a given lending pool.

LPs

A user who wishes to participate in a lending pool deposit assets into a pool on LARI finance. If the lender supplies an asset eligible for borrowing to the pool, and there is borrow demand, the lender will earn interest on their deposit.

Borrower

A user who wishes to leverage their deposited tokens by taking a loan out against them. Borrowing requires overcollateralization, so the borrower must first deposit funds in order to be eligible. The total amount that an individual can borrow against their collateral depends upon the lending pool.

There may be more than one lending pool that has a market for a specific asset. For example, there may be one lending pool that allows users to borrow up to 80% against $ATOM while a different lending pool only allows for 70%.

LARI Finance DAO

The LARI Finance DAO is responsible for making decisions on the protocol level. Since LARI Finance has been built around the notion of governance-minimized lending markets, the decisions that are made by LARI DAO will never have a major impact on any of the lending pools that reside within the platform.
